Pre-launch Online Interview from The Japan Society with Japanese Astronaut Soichi Noguchi
In a Japan-US collaboration, JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) astronaut Noguchi will be on the SpaceX capsule named Resilience, scheduled to depart on November 14th. He will join the NASA team of Victor Glover, Michael Hopkins and Shannon Walker on their mission to the International Space Station.
Message from the Japanese Embassy
Japanese Ambassador Shinsuke Sugiyama and US Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao addressed the 38 Japan America Societies across the country in a live web stream from the Japanese Embassy in D.C. on October 13, 2020, in lieu of a national in-person Annual Meeting. The Ambassador stressed the significance of the US-Japan relationship for job creation here, pointing out that Japan's foreign direct investment in the US, valued at over $600 billion is higher than that of any other foreign investor. Secretary Chao expressed that she was looking forward to the Tokyo Olympics being held next summer and applauded the preparedness of Japan's continuously efficient transportation infrastructure.
